Route DevelopmentWaterford Airport currently offers airlines introducing new routes, a range of discounts on the airport’s passenger handling and other charges over the first three years of route operations. Passenger Handling ChargeWaterford Airport’s passenger handling charge is €10 per departing passenger. This covers check-in, processing of passengers and baggage handling. Where an airline enters into a three year agreement with the Waterford Airport, for new routes introduced this charge will be discounted as follows:
Where departing passenger numbers exceed the following parameters, a rebate will apply as follows:
Security Charges – Departing PassengersA charge of €2.50 will apply per departing passenger. For new routes introduced within the period of the agreement this charge will be discounted as follows:
Arrival ChargesA charge of €100 per arrival will apply to all landings to cover handling of passengers and baggage through the terminal building and a basic cabin tidy. Late RunningWhere the final fight in the evening is more than 45 minutes late in arriving back to Waterford, the airport charges an out-of-hours charge of €250 per hour or part thereof applying from the scheduled time. Other ChargesOther charges, such as use of GPU, overnighting charges, use of TSU and de-icing are available by e-mailing the airport.
